Farewell SouriS

After nearly 17 years of a bright, beautiful life spent in the field, and in our bed (under the covers), with dignity, grace and a wee sparkle still in her eye, Grau Geist’s Let R Rip du Souris, our beloved Souris-Manon, died peacefully in our arms this morning.

To celebrate her incredible life, we will head to South Dakota today. There are roosters there, and we are pretty sure that Souris will be with us in spirit to point out exactly where they are.

On February 10th, 2000, I got a phone call. It was long distance. On the other end of the line was Dick Wilber, a breeder of Weimaraners from Lubbock, Texas. He had good news. “We have a pup for ya”.
